The data analysis looked at 361 artists across 8 genres.

Lil Wayne has the highest count of swear words in his lyrics with 3960 instances of profanity, Weezy if followed closely by Tupac and Snoop.
Chief Keef has the highest frequency of profanity with 1 use every 20 words.
Other artists topping their respective genres for profanity include Charli XCX for Pop, Korn for Metal, and Green Day for Rock.
Miranda Lambert lands at number 3 on the list of most profane Country artists, clocking in at 1 instance of profanity for every 913 words, though the study concludes that Country uses the least amount of swearing (along with Folk).
Perhaps the biggest surprise comes in the Folk category, where Joni Mitchell bows in a number 2, with 57 profanities, one every 792 words (though to be fair, it’s mostly the word “sex,” which this study classifies as being profane).
